Privacy Policy

This policy explains how YALKYN LABS LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Tafsir AI Android app (package space.yalkynlabs.tafsir) and on this website, tafsir.yalkynlabs.space.

1. Who we are

YALKYN LABS LLC, 22A Nairi Zaryan St., Arabkir, Yerevan 0051, Armenia. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: yalkyn2026@gmail.com.

2. What the app collects

Your dreams — the dream text you type or dictate, your answers to clarifying questions, and the interpretations the app produces for you. Dreams can reveal religious beliefs, health or family matters; don't include anything you don't want stored.
Optional profile answers from onboarding — nickname, gender, age range, religious observance, life stage, sleep quality, recent mood and happiness. All optional; used only to personalise interpretations and your profile screen.
Account — an anonymous account is created automatically. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's email and a sign-in token; we never see your Google password.
Device identifier for the free gift — a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your device's Android ID, used only so the two free dreams are given once per device. The raw Android ID never leaves your phone.
Purchases — Google Play processes payments. Through RevenueCat we receive which product you bought, its store transaction ID and status. We never see card details.
Feedback you send — ratings, reports about an interpretation, and bug reports (with app version, device model, Android version and language).

Speech-to-text uses your phone's built-in recognizer; the app does not record audio itself. Bedtime content, the tasbih counter and private notes written after a bad dream stay on your device and are never sent to us.

3. How we use it

to interpret your dreams and keep your dream journal;
to keep your credit balance and process purchases and refunds;
to prevent abuse of the free gift and of the service;
to review reports about interpretations and fix problems;
to reply to your messages.

We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a safe service, and, where the law requires it, your consent. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Who processes it

Supabase — database, accounts and server functions (stores your dreams, profile and balance).
Anthropic — the AI model that writes an interpretation receives the dream text, your answers and optional profile answers for that request.
Cohere — turns the dream text into a search vector to find relevant passages in classical dream books.
RevenueCat and Google Play — purchases.
Google — sign-in, if you choose it.
Netlify — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs (such as IP address) for security.

These providers act on our behalf and may process data outside Armenia, under their own terms and appropriate safeguards. This website uses no cookies and no analytics.

5. How long we keep it

Your dreams, profile, balance and feedback are kept until you delete your account. After deletion we keep only the device hash (so the free gift isn't granted again on that device) and purchase records without any link to you (for accounting and refunds).

6. Your rights and deleting your data

Depending on where you live (including under the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Protection of Personal Data” and the EU GDPR), you may access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. In the app, Settings → Delete Account deletes your account and data immediately; without the app, see how to request deletion. For anything else write to yalkyn2026@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

7. AI content

Interpretations are generated by AI from classical sources. They are reflections, not a religious ruling (fatwa), and not medical, legal or financial advice. You can report any interpretation from its result screen; we review reports.

8. Children

Tafsir AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access on our servers is limited to the functions that need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
